Last year, I took part in the first 'Trijicon World Shooting Championship' in the U.S. where all the guns and ammo were provided in the entry fee.
I got to shoot around 20 different guns in 12 different matches (plus 4 side shoots) over 4 days, including an Alexander Arms .338 Lapua, FNH SCAR 16, Beretta DT-11 O/U Trap gun, .45 Colt S/A Revolver, Daniel Defense V9, S&W M&P 9mm pistol and many more.
As a UK shooter who can't even own most of the guns used in the matches, I approached it as a shooting holiday with no real expectations of doing that well against the likes of Jerry Miculek, Bruce Piatt and the U.S. Army guys and of course they all beat me! (not in ALL the matches, however).
It was a really great experience and pretty good value if you can find a cheap flight and accommodation.
This year, there are two similar matches being held with the same sort of format. You just turn up with your ear and eye protection and everything else is provided. I was the only person from outside the U.S. and Canada there last year, but it would be great if a few more Brits could make it to one or both of these matches in 2015.
So, here's the information and links to registration. If you want to know anything about the format and particularly the Peacemaker range and local area, I can probably help with that. There are other people around here who know the Rockcastle range better than me.
I hope some of you might make it this year. It would be great to have a full squad of Brits representing the UK and taking home more of the prizes and cash!

All I would add is that competitions like this can fill up quickly, so if you want to guarantee you can get in you need to think about registering sooner rather than later.
