raised shooting area
A quick question to all the joiners/diy people I am going to build a raised shooting area as my uncle has back problems and shooting off a bipod is getting difficult now.
I am going to place a 1.4 metre by 0.9 metre flat sheet supported on 4 posts, I was originally thinking of using marine ply due to its great outdoors weather properties but it is very expensive. Is there any other type of sheeting that has good outdoor properties but cheaper than marine ply.
Thanks
Sam

Re: raised shooting area
You could use sheething ply---this is what builders use when casting concrete on construction sites.

If you're down near Barnsley ever I have a table you can have. It's been sat outside all winter and it's fine, the thing's damn near indestructible!
What about plastic?

Re: raised shooting area
Go to you local DIY centre and look for `Exterior grade` ply, just as weather resistant as marine ply without the fancy (and expensive) veneer finish.

Re: raised shooting area
You could try these guys
I've used their stuff for a few years now - they would probably suit, however you would have to support the boards with a wooden lattice of some kind

Re: raised shooting area
Sorry
The link is right but seems they don't sell them any more
Search for 'eco-sheets'
they are 21mm recycled plastic sheets 8ft by 4ft
