Holographic RED Dot for Pistol
Hi, I have £0-£300 to spend on a Red Dot for my LBP - I was looking at the Burris FastFire III - Any other options ? Has any one a good one for sale ? Would like the leupold Delta or Aimpoint but too expensive. Burris looks like a good mid range option ?

Re: Holographic RED Dot for Pistol
Docter have a good reputation. Not tried one due to my astigmatism.

I have a shield mini red dot sight on my LBP, which is good. Sim G has a Leupold on his, I know a few people with the Vortex Razor too..

+1 for the shield I have one on my 15-22 (Mini Sight with 1 MOA dot & 65 MOA ring) that will be migrating to my K22 when buy/ build a mounting solution.
As you have gone the Sig route you might also want to have a chat with Shield as they do list a Sig mount no sure which models it is for though
MNT-A1130
£34.00
Slide mount for SIG pistol (replaces rear iron sight)
http://www.shieldfirearmssights.com/mounts
(as do riflecraft for the Razor http://www.riflecraft.co.uk/products/lo ... 26-89.aspx)
And I believe from discussion else where that there may be some cross compatibility between some of the mountings for the mini red dots

Re: Holographic RED Dot for Pistol
my mates got a mount that clamps the frame under the barrel and gives him a rail along the top of the gun, nice as the sight then doesnt slam about with the slide.sysreq wrote:+1 for the shield I have one on my 15-22 (Mini Sight with 1 MOA dot & 65 MOA ring) that will be migrating to my K22 when buy/ build a mounting solution.
was only about £27
will message him later and ask where he got it if you want

I have very light mixed astigmatism. Red dots are about the only problem at the moment, and I'm quite happy to eschew them for the time being.Airbrush wrote:Get some glasses mate.zanes wrote:Docter have a good reputation. Not tried one due to my astigmatism.
As my eyes age I have the treat of glasses in store for me.

Sounds similar to me, apart from the age bit.

Thanks for the info, but decided to go with this new sight rail from sight-mound.com gives me the option of open and Red Dot sights.
