We're talking about a new gun to the UK market where the sum of its parts has somehow produced an astronomically priced article by comparison, that appears still not to be reliable. Having previously owned and shot extensive full bore Sig pistols, I'm sorely disappointed that this venture seems half arsed and poor value.
I would love for this to be what a Sig represented. Yes, the high end of the market, but still good value and utterly reliable and accurate. I cannot attest to its accuracy and likewise, I've not read or seen anything that tests this accuracy. So far the only aspects to be evidenced is its price and its unreliability....
Pretty obvious really, it's a SIG so it must be better than a Buckmark or K22 etc, after all the Seals use them.

Mark, is this one of the "Dangerous Brothers" who go to PSG? If so he had it with him at Otterburn this morning and is still getting failures to fully go into battery. Other than that it looked quite nice, maybe not £600 more than a K22 nice but nice all the same!.

Yeah it was Davids. I wonder if he did actually send it off then, or if he tried sorting it himself still. If he sent it off and it still came back not working i can imagine it'll be going back permenantly
Just collected my new Sig Sauer LBP from Mike of Icon Arms at the Pheonix meeting. Like a kid with a new toy. Will be down the range of Monday & probably Tuesday. Also collected a Remington 1858 Nitro Muzzle loading revolver. Not sure which to shoot first.
Looks like an expensive few days getting the Sig Sighted in.
The Icon arms stand was busy all day with people handling the Sig. Also saw the prototype of the new Glock from Suffolk. just need to see the finished LBP
Tomorrow seeing the practical competition where just about every LBP & LBR will be used.
Just need the courage to enter a competition - !!!!!!!
But today had a great time at the meeting, viewed a lot of Gallery Rifle at Melville, exciting and at times very rapid shooting.
Anyone who has not been the the Pheonix should add it to the diary, will be down next year for all 3 days. Got three spare seats in the car if anyone from Bishop Auckland or St Giles Yarners wants a lift.
Just get in there!! I went down on my own three years ago, shot the bianchi cup and the speed steels, had no idea what I was doing, cocked loads of stuff up and had a brilliant time. Everyone was very friendly!
I came nearly bottom on one bianchi stage and only dropped one shot on the steel plates, an amazingly inconsistent performance but a hell of a lot of fun.

Yes, but in the 6" barrel form, and it's the best pistol I've ever owned. It has a nice balance and "feel" it's very accurate, doesn't jam and the fit and finish are excellent. Also bought the .22LR kit for it, just drop the 9mm slide, barrel and mag, replace with the .22 kit and away you go. Always seems odd though that the 9mm comes with 2 x 17 round mags but the .22 only 1x10 round mag.

That's to do with the design of 22lr cartridges. Its harder to make a rimfire mag that holds more than ten without it curving.
As long as the rounds line up when they reach the feed ramp I guess it's not too important what they do beforehand :)
Valid point though, I'd never really thought too much about magazine design.
One thing I have noticed, SIGs don't seem to like light loads, when new my .22 kit would only cycle with mini-mags and still, three years on, it works better with the higher velocity ammunition, using the 9mm it prefers powder charges to the higher rather than the lower figures in the reloading tables and with lighter loads failing to cycle the action properly.
