Ok, just in case anyone thought that this meeting would happen (not many of you it seems) guess what.....you're right. I've had no formal contact from UKPsA or nra so can only assume that these two organisations have zero interest in trying to work together whatsoever. Read into that what you will.

However our national organisations don't respond to mutual respect and the ways of adult discussion the only way to deal with their petty pouting and tantrums is to give them a good skelp on the @rse.

Well, I just had a nice chat with Mr Mercer, who to be fair did not raise the idea of a meeting in the call as he called about something else, however his view was straight forward, there was no axe to grind with ukpsa and would happily attend a meeting if arranged, however on the basis that the two groups run their own competitions and on the basis that there was no blood he didn't see any need to meet up, which I would say is fair enough.

I am still left with the over riding feeling that practical shooting is best served by a single national body but if there is competition for that status then as a shooter I guess I will shoot both and allow the market to decide.
