Probably because the video game/film thing is known bull$h!t. I used to play Populous, Olympic Gold and Sim City for hours as a teenager and unbelievably i didn't turn into God, an athelete or even an architect as an adult, shocking(!)

If Call of Duty curls your toes, you should have a look at a game called 'Hatred'! :run:

Correct- as I remember it there is at least one peer reviewed study confirming this.

Age limits and firearms law is crackers anyway. I bought my Mauser complete with bayonet, if I had been sixteen with an FAC I could have taken the rifle and ammunition but it would be illegal for me to walk out of the shop with the bayonet because the law requires a person to be 18 to buy a knife. Figure that one out.
It was working when i left it...........

Proves the point that these particular areas of law are very badly legislated.

"Police recorded 7,709 offences involving firearms in 2013/14, down from 8,135 the year before."
Well I agree with GCN, if the little b######s are comitting 7,709 offences every year then the under 14s shouldn't have guns its just wrong. ****

Interestingly I still remember after Dunblane, sky had a bit on about a kid who was in a practical pistol club with his dad and then they wheeled out this (american) child psychologist who said , it's not right, he should be at home playing video games (presumably call of duty) with his friends. Where do these people get off , don't they think to themselves "hello, isn't it a bit of a cheek having an american tell Brits they are bringing their kids up to be gun toting monsters" usflag.gif

I have 4 kids and they all shot from the age they could hold a gun but I never let them play GTA, where do the GCN stand on that. These people are troubled and they project their demons onto us.
Can't talk any more , got to fire up the playstation and steal a car, kill a cop and beat up a prostitute, thank god for GTA or I might have been tempted to be restoring a vintage firearm and explaining it's part in our heritage to one of my maladjusted offspring, phew!

p.s
FYI I am hoping my son can become a gang member, innit, but not sure how to go about getting him away from that responsibility for your actions thing that we mistakenly pushed on to him, also that paying your way thing, not praying on the weak thing and the not leaching off society thing. In fact the only bad habit wevé managed to cure him of is that hitting the bowl when peeing thing. :D

On that you are dead right! These people have issues that need professional help.
Political Correctness is the language of lies, written by the corrupt , spoken by the inept!

Well I was very chuffed to hear that one of my clubs is introducing a Junior division for 8-12 yr olds.
The more of this that happens the better in my eyes!

If you can drag them away from the Xbox, in my experience they come along a couple of times & find it boring.
