Met - time for a variation to come back?..
Hi all, as in the title, anyone had a variation in with the Met recently?
If so, how long did it take to come back?
Im on week 6 now, which isnt massively excessive, but my original FAC came back quicker!

Hmmm... so no response to the email I sent a couple of days ago.. so I figured Id call.
I dialed the number, to be met with an answerphone message stating that they were open to calls from 9 to 4PM, Monday to Friday (this was noon Friday) and that you are requested not to leave a message on this number... and thats it. No chance to talk to anyone..
Errr...so thats that. Only other avenue is to send a letter I suppose... unless anyone else has a better idea?

A helpfully friendly letter to the Chief Constabubble warning him that he's in danger of missing a target or tick box might work wonders...

Apart from the fact the Met doesn't have a Chief Constable; -)meles meles wrote:A helpfully friendly letter to the Chief Constabubble warning him that he's in danger of missing a target or tick box might work wonders...

Well, finally (after another few days of trying) managed to get through on the phone.. My certificate is still awaiting the signature of someone, so at least it hasnt been lost in the post..
Theyre taking their time though!
Ah well, at least it stops me from running out and buying the 7.62 Ive had my eye on!

Well, FAC came back on Friday.. Not sure if maybe it was sat on someones desk and they forgot about it, and my phone call just reminded them!
So, about 8 weeks.. but at least its correct, I got the variation I was asking for with no hassle (addition of another .22. no increase in ammunition. No need as I tend to shoot mainly club stuff, with the exception of HV stuff for the 15/22).
Now I can spend some more money!
