Charities can and do operate to generate a surplus (they have already said what their aims are with their surplus and their reinvestment program), but that's not really the same thing as a profit in the traditional sense of the word in terms of a business. It doesn't get shared out to shareholders (or trustees in the case of a charity)

Do you have proof that the trustees of the NRA are doing improper things with the running of a charitable organisation? That they have somehow got something past independent financial auditors?

Or are you just another in the anti-NRA brigade?

Im glad its not just me,at the time it wasn't possible to just turn up at local clubs.The NRA did answer my e mail so they got my money

You're just playing with semantics techguy, a surplus is a profit in all but legal appearance and there's nothing stopping the NRA paying Mercer extra for meeting targets

10 visits plus membership is £300. Add the cost of ammo for the 10 visits and you are close to if not over the NRA charges

They don't pay the £200 membership until they get accepted as a member they then have the option to pay £50 a quarter if its easier for them. Once you are a full member the £200 includes range fees.
