Baffled by Howa 7-08.

I keep hearing about some shooters using a Howa 7-08, but cannot find one, they only list a 7mm on the website, can anyone throw a light on this?

The 7mm-08 is basically .308 cartridge necked down to .284 to accept that bullet. It has pretty good light recoil and is a very popular cartridge here in N. America for taking deer and elk. Howa used to sell them but I believe that is no longer the case, however Remington still supplies them in their 700 series of rifle. I saw on a while back for sale, it was a 700 SPS in7mm-08
