Buying a gun at the shooting show

#1 Post by Demonic69 »

It might seem like a silly question but I've never been before.
Can I buy a gun from the show if I have the relevant slot? Could I expect much on offer, any decent bargains?

You sure can. Lots of things on offer, best bargains to be had first thing first day or last thing last day.

Yep no probs buying on the day, there's usually lots of folks walking about with gun cases and bags with new purchases.

always worth seeing if you know anyone thats going who is an RFD or servant of RFD, just in case you see something that you want or a great deal but dont have the slot.

Yup, I went last year to get a CZ455, came back with two shotguns instead!

Prices were ok - lowest end of the retail prices from what I recall, no massive discounts and that was first thing on Friday morning. YMMV.

Contemplating a pump, maybe a Revo, not sure if I'll save much though

I wouldn't have thought so - it's the bottom end of the market and the margins have got to be be thin!

* by bottom end of market I mean price and don't mean to convey any opinion on quality!!

There's a rifle listing here in case you see anything you like the look of:

Does anyone know if Icon Arms have a stall this year? I'd like to see their Sig iP226 LBP in the flesh.

There may be some good deals to be had at the show but don't go expecting to see many unbeatable offers because the dealers say it actually costs them a fair bit to exhibit there with additional costs on top of that.
