Well there's Ballykinler although technically that's a set of ranges not a rifle club but they are used by plenty of clubs.

There's the Ulster Rifle Association (founded 1860) - they did have a range in a quarry but can't remember the name of it - but the Association is still going.

There is also the Irish Rifle Club (founded 1863 - previously the Irish Rifle Association but some b****** nicked our initials) which deals with TR and MR.

I can think of a couple of others from when I lived there but they might have closed down (BT had one but I have a feeling they closed it).

Love

Carrowdore & District Shooting & Recreation Club Abbey Road, Carrowdore, Co Down is now know as Newtownards & District Shooting Club. It's my club.

Bangor & District Small Bore Rifle Club Castle Park, Valentine Road, Bangor is the one I mentioned in my earlier post as being in an "old 'tin shed". This is Council owned and the new range in the Leisure Centre will be a replacement.

We mustn't forget all the ranges behind TA and assorted Army barrack fences that Joe Public has no access to; maybe, some of the Police Stations here could have pistol ranges but I've no info on this. Perhaps, if any PSNI members are on the Forum they might confirm.
