Phoenix 2011
I have just entered the F Class events on the Saturday and the Target Shotgun events on the RO day.
This year will be the first year since I have started competing that I will not be shooting in the Gallery Rifle comps. It is with great sadness that I am dropping these this year, but F class is costing me too much to be able to run both and the current financial situation is taking it's toll.
Will I be seeing any others on the F class line?

Re: Phoenix 2011
I'm coming down on the Friday night just to introduce my lad to Bisley (we live in Lancashire). We'll just be having a look around. I presume its rather like the 'Pistol 80' type events of lamented memory.
Re: Phoenix 2011
Unfortunately I missed out on the pistol days and the really big comps, but I am told that this is as close as we now get.
Make sure that you get down to the Short Siberia range 100 yard, and see the target shotgun events, we make a lot of noise and like to think that we are friendly - although on the Saturday I will mostly be on the F class comps.
Normally you can also see the Mc Queens on the 200 yards and often a 200 yard comp that has lots of ex military type rifles like the Lee Enfield. I don't shoot that one but the mad minute is interesting to watch.
There should be a type of gun fair during the event, some new stuff, lots of old stuff and probably a fair amount of junk, if nothing else it is a good place to see people,

There is no way I could afford to shoot F class and living in the North East of England well it is just never going to happen.
But you guys have fun.

You could join the 'F'class association and shoot FTR with a club gun and factory ammo.

Re: Phoenix 2011
In eight years of working at Bisley I have never been into the trade fairs. Can't tell you much about them I'm afraid. I have either been working or away. I think I'm away this year too.
