CO2 Air Pistols.

#1 Post by Paul-Andrzej »

I don't know where else to post this request but under GOM. A short while ago there was a post somewhere on the forum which included information on Blackpool Air Rifles CO2 air pistols which I can't find now.

I really like the look of a couple or three shown on their website but am loathe to order one through my local RFD in case it turns out to be "not a lot of good". This should be a picture of one of the pistols:-

I live in the South and was wondering if any forum member, probably in the Blackpool area, has actually handled one and could give me a no responsibility opinion?

I have only heard good things about the new Webley, they have one in Fultons if you are passing Bisley but it's £200 but I believe they are cheaper at Roger Bills in Bromsgrove @ £165, will probably be closer to £120 from ze germans when they get them.

Blackpool Air Rifles Clicky...

Had a Umarex Walther long time ago, stripped it down to replace the seal and couldn't get it back together again, ended up in the proverbial plastic bag and gave it away (free) to somebody else, it was either that or shoot the bloody thing.

If you have been used to the real thing these replicas are a bit disappointing, very low powered.

In saying that, I've got a Crosman 2240 CO2 Pistol, well made accurate and near the 6Lb limit, handy for dispatching mice etc.

From what I have heard on a shooting forum and a reenactor forum is that it is good and worth the money , the only little thing is , it has a safety catch which wasn't on the original .

Looks good but it's a shame you can't have the real thing!
