M1 Carbine in 30M1

Hi y'all,

Been thinking about getting one of these, I have the Erma M1 in 22LR and love the thing. I did a search on here and found no posts about them so was wondering if anyone has had one or shot one? I have a .357 Rossi Lever action but wanted something different for the 25 yard and upto 300 as the whole world seems to be using Lever guns now.
I am in discussions with my clubs about the calibre as it was made as a rifle calibre so it might not be allowed at some ranges I shoot. I know it the 30M1 was used in the ruger Blackhawks so that might swing it. Anyway back to topic, would appreciate any info on the gun.
I hear good things about the seller of these gun so have no issues there.

We have one Inland 1943 receiver/bolt etc with a non ported new Section 1 SP barrel and original wood. The barrel is a Peter Sarony (Armalon)(we were told) made so you know it will be done correctly and work as it should. Bought from ITL late last year used Remington & PPU factory ammo without any problems. Spare mags slings etc can be found at most Militaria shows for not alot of money don't buy from dealers as expensive. Shot it out to 300 at Bisley great little light weight rifle.

Just one note they do come with very heavy triggers we got ours worked on so nice for the little lady to use now well it is her's............

A friend has a late war year one with the bayonet mount and the same Erma M1 .22rf as you as well.

Thanks for that, good idea about spare mags etc. shame about the heavy trigger but like you say that's not a deal breaker.

Had a Erma 22 many moons ago, let it go because I couldn't get it to cycle reliably, sorry now though.

Once after a strip and re build I forgot to put the disconnector link back in and was very surprised when it went full auto, I of course immediately put the disconnector link back in.

Mine runs very well, had to slightly tweak the mag lips but it loves HV ammo like Blaser and CCI min mag.
I'm glad to hear you rectified the disconnector link problem! Will remember to put it back in myself, thanks for the warning! Seriously though, I love it but it has 4 million parts in it, never seen a more complicated 22.

Only one from ITL the others are the "original" made ones.
They all shoot very well.
As said plenty of cheap spares around.

How does it work if the receiver is original?, as surely it would be a section5 receiver?.

By original I mean the ones that were first sold in the UK a few years back to UK spec.
I forget who was selling them.

I would also like to know. Speaking to my FEO about them, they can't be downgraded from section 5 to section 1 so it's almost a new gun to make it sellable. I think I might have opened a can of worms here! aaarggh

Would love to know if there is another source of them rather than just ITL, have heard good things about them but competition is a good thing. I have the 30M1 on my ticket, just need to find one.
