Isn't this a 2.5x10 scope for a Type 97 or 99 Arisaka as shown?

One of these scopes sold on ebay.com recently for over $2500 so someone could get a bargain.

Exactly why I passed it on. The guy selling it is a militaria/Victorian ephemera dealer and probably doesn't know too much about firearms-related parts like this. I keep an eye on his listings and can't remember anything of tis nature coming up before.

I'm sure it would be a good buy for someone.

A quick look on some US forums shows beat up scopes with no case selling for around $1000, from what I quickly found at appears only around 5500 were produced.......compared to 300,000 Russian PU scopes in one factory alone!.
