I find it amusing that the police described this act of negligence as an accident when they no longer use that word in relation to incidents involving vehicles on the grounds that someone is always to blame ... :cool2: :cool2:

Is it just me or does make no sense. It makes me ask myself what knowledge he has about firearms, or the people advising him.

What he probably means is that all Police weapons have a special safety mechanism that stops them from hurting goodies even if they go off accidentally, whereas they will still hurt baddies whether they go off accidentally or on purpose.

He probably forgot to add that any weapons held by civilians are dangerous all the time and it's a miracle they aren't going off constantly and hurting small children, old people and kittens.

But nevertheless, the people involved have received further training and measures have been put in place to ensure this will never happen again.
