Yep. My 175smk sub loads group to 4 1/2" at 300 yds. Droopy as a rainbow, but consistent. And although they exhibit very little expansion, as expected, a well placed shot on a fox works very well, and doesn't spook any of the several, £.25m top dressage horses I shoot around.

Dan, just a thought.

Lapua make some heavy .308 sub factory loads mate. I have a couple of examples in my collection, one commercial, one mil spec loaded for AI.

Give them a bell/email and ask what they are using in them.....or what they suggest to get the best out of their bullets.

I have a fair few factory Lapua subs here in shiny new boxes, shout if you want to try some and I am sure we can work something out using Maggot as the courier, assuming he does come and see me at some point and is OK with such things and....

Thanks Davy I may well take you up on that mate! I think the factory lapua stuff uses the same 200 grain bullets that I have a box of ;)

They probably will, they told me what was in the 170HPS, downside is it was a Bofors powder...

It was circa 10 grains of god knows what Dan.
