38 Spl cases are generally free - nobody wants them! (Except me). .357 cases cost money!

Talking of things 'generally free'...I had to move a s*** load of lead last weekend; putting it into a better container out the way for the winter...if you don't take it off my hands next year, it's going down the scrappies razz

, thats a nice argument there Rog!i think i'm going to keep them separate for now, i can always sell a set of dies later if i buy two lots
just need to source some boolits now

I doubt I'll get to Bisley until next year now...don't worry, I'll hold on to it.
Bradaz - I get my .38 boolits from Rog...they feed and shoot very nicely...I'm sure he won't mind you dropping him a PM...

I go for the 158 grn RNFPs - They're almost a cross between truncated cone and round-nose...it's a nice shape for loading and feeding.
Being 'home made' they're not as clean (residual lube) as some other know boolits, but a quick wipe with white spirit after seating brings them up nicely...I've had some very good groups with them...
...and they smell of coconut

Yes; off the 'head' (sorry) of the boolit in the completed rounds...the lube strips are already inside the case and sealed in by the roll crimp into the cannalure (if that makes sense...?)...
...it leaves them silky smooth, and if you get the crimp just right you can hardly feel where the case joins the boolit.

i suppose it makes sense, i dunno, i just kinda assumed the alox or whatever it is does something to it, as it is applied in addition to the lube in the cannelure
but before i used Rog's cast in my 45acp loads, i'd only used 240gr for 44mag from hannams.
the two are obviously a bit different, and the hannams only has a lube in the cannelure. with no alox
