Best Tactical sight for practical (mini) rifle?

#1 Post by Oldskool »

Seen a few ... Viper .... Leupold ... Plus some if the cheaper red dot jobs .

I was thinking something that's a cross between red dot and cross hairs was optimum .

Thoughts please forum !

I used one of these quite successfully on a 10/22, cheap and effective with a cross-hair shaped red dot...

I have a Leupold Prismatic on my SR22 and a Bushnell TRS on my S&W. The Leupold is outstanding. I'm a huge Leupold fan anyway, but it is that good. But it's expensive, the thick end of 500 quid. The TRS is outstandin! LOL! It really is. And was 79 quid, with eight quid postage...

I've thought about replacing the Leupold with another Bushnell...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Sim would that be the TRS25 or 32? also do you use a magnifier with it mate?
Looking at the idea of replacing my Walther RS55, good sight, too good, the cross hairs are so bloody fine that I struggle to achieve quick target acquisition with it.

We have a Walther "red dot" on our AIA 7.62x39 junglie that is actually a projected image of a cross with multiple horizontal bars that form aiming marks for 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 mards

Its the TRS25 and no, I don't use a magnifier. Most of it's shooting is from 3 to 25 yards, but it has been out to 100 and did very well, in no small part to the 3 MOA dot.
