Reliable Hardware is probably the single most important thing you need. It doesn't matter if you're the best Shooter on the Range if you end up with a couple of rounds left over! Get a Marlin...

some pictures ive just taken off it before i remove the barrel


built by Neil McKillop in 2009, roughly had 1093 rounds throughit so far. I checked zero to day and its starting to open up on goups now to 1/2 groups at 200 yards.
Spec:
Sako 75 long action S/H when i bought it
Pac-nor match grade 1:8.5 30 inch barrell.
Pillar Bedded and bolt face squared and bolt lugs lapped.
32 x Nightforce NSX NP 2DD bedded in to rings by me .
120 Moa shim added by me to rear ring far easier and not to permanent as a picatinny.
Bolt fluted and Tactical knob by Neil
McMillan Sako Varmint stock. Black and Olive.
Reworked trigger by me to 8 oz's
std rings
load:
140 g A-max seated 3 thou off the lands over 51.5 g 4831 sc with 2 thou crush 210m primers @ 2890 fps
