Blackstuff, i have one of these and have been using 62g and 69g as its a 1in9 barrel i was advised to use these over the 55g variants, hope you enjoy it (not the paying for more ammo as this eats everything i have used on it)

I haven't been able to source any heavier bullets locally, which is a bit of a bugger as mine has a 1in7 twist which should fair better with the 62gr and 69gr stuff, over the 55gr. A 1in9 should be fine with 55gr though

I meant 1in7 slight typo (Not good at multi tasking), ive been using a mix of Prvi, GGG, American Eagle and reloaded all works really well, easy for me to get though (Bisley and local RFD) jsut had a moderator fitted on it looks good, what stock have got (The top riser) im also looking at a POSP scope for it found all the parts from vz58rifle based in czech (bit pricey for some parts) as i cant justify the cost of the Acog (1100 last time i looked) and the POSP 4 x was £200 plus import tax plus you can add a defelctor onto it (Almost ruined a scope with the shells hitting it)

I've got a moderator that can go on mine, i just need to buy a 14x1 bridge for it. Was removing the front sight much of a problem?

The stock on mine is a Magpul CTR with a 0.75" cheek riser, really nice stock and no movement at all.

I actually kept the front sight (like using irons sometimes) mines an end of barrel one (hope the picture comes out ok) i considered taking off the front sight as well but decided against it in the end

Mark, which moderator is it?, I have 14x1 and 15x1 bridges for the Wildcat Predator, you're more than welcome to try them for fitting.

Is the front sight pressed and pinned like an AK sight?, if so they can be very very tight as they are fitted with a press. When the pins are removed the holes should be cleaned up as they can be burred and if you try to press the sight off without cleaning them up the burrs will mar the end of the barrel. They can also be a pain to refit, getting the sight square can take a bit of fiddling.

Edit.....just checked, they are pressed and pinned.

I don't know if you guys are aware of it but there is a good Vz58 subform on the AK section of ar15.com
