I'm going for a clay shooting lesson at Bisley tomorrow and the only light jacket I have that gives me adequate arm movement is a surplus DPM shirt. Am I at all liable to get disapproving glares for being a Rambo-wannabe? Although I'm not sure how effective explosive bows are for English skeet...
(and now if you spot some newbie blowing chunks out of the high house in a camouflage jacket tomorrow, you'll know it's me )
Is it a faux pas?

It's not ideal but if it's all you have.... Suggest you don't put it on until you are on the training stand and tell your coach as soon as you get there - he/she may have something more suitable with them.
Presumably you don't have a rugby or sweatshirt?

Wear what you feel comfortable with.
You should see Ovenpaa when he really makes an effort. Danish Army has on more than one occasion asked me which division he belongs to.
