To me it is far more worthy than putting up pictures of primers.
How do the loads velocities compare to the published data you are working from?

The Reload Swiss data states a velocity of 2717fps out of a 600mm (23" barrel), my barrel is 18".
I do not have Quickload so can not compare predicted data

I am totally confused!
I have just been given a Quickload data sheet for my Sauer 18" .308 with RS52 powder and a 150 grain bullet. The Quickload data states a maximum load of 50.50 grains.
The RS52 data sheet states a maximum load of 47.10, I know I have to start say 10% lower and work up but whose data do I trust?

Always go for the lower data to start with.
Powder manufacturer data is usually pressure tested, Quickload is just a predictive software based on the theoretical burning rate of the powder along with whatever input you have entered. Also second hand data predictions also increases the chance of error. Always do you own data research and then you are reducing the complication and risk.
I would always start with the powder manufacturers or other tested data minimum load. If you have more than one go for the lowest.
Different tested data rarely agrees due to the difference in test equipment and loading. So be safe and start with the lowest.
Carefully work your loads up and do not trust primer sign as a pressure indicator.

Me again, just looking at seating depths.
My maximum cartridge length measures 2.333 to the lands (Ogive to base)
Measuring a seated bullet it is 2.308 so it has a 0.25 thou jump to the lands.
Out of interest I measured a Winchester factory round and it appears that the jump is 0.164 thou! seems a lot.
I have rechecked the measurements, so watching for pressure signs, does that mean I have 0.164 thou to "play" with?
Saami max cartridge length is 2.810, again remaining aware of pressure signs can I seat to Saami measurement? it seems a very deeply seated bullet.

I hope you mean 25 thou (0.025") not .25 thou (0.00025") as that's a bit close! smile2
