Here's my Remington 572 Pump gun. Bought two weeks ago for £25!

Guy in the shop said it was working and had been test fired.....but when I stripped it down and cleaned out 40 years of gunk and crap I found the firing pin was seized in the channel it runs in. Got the right sized pin punch delivered yesterday, knocked out the firing pin, good clean and reassembly and she's ready to go.....

I've been told (on a US forum) that the colour of the wood, the chromed magazine tube and the aluminium butt plate shows this is probably a 572 Lightweight model.....and that they go for $600 - $1000 in the US fingerscrossed . Anyone know how to sell a rifle to the Yanks??

Tactical Innovations Elite 22 receiver
Kidd 16.5" .920 Barrel
Kidd 2 Stage trigger group
Kidd Bolt & Charging handle
Kidd trigger pins
Boyds Tacticool stock (DIY one, not quite finished)
Weaver 2-10x38 & Warne mounts (Rear mount has since been moved backwards)

I may Cerakote the barrel but leave the band on the muzzle silver, or replace it with a lighter weight integrally suppressed one in the future.

I'll play.

My AR15 is a Spikes 5.56 straight pull, but I use a Spikes .22 conversion kit with CMMG forward assist and anti jam handle for giggles. Accuracy with the conversion kit is awful, around 1-1.5 inches at 25yds, and around 12 inches at 100m! It is good fun for the 25yd shoots though. Use Black Dog X Form magazines as my gen 2 Black Dogs are starting to fail in the feed lip area and are developing cracks. I DON'T use the moderator when using the conversion kit as I don't want possible baffle strikes. I'd like a dedicated .22 AR but I need a bigger safe. Optic is a Trijicon ACOG TA01-NSN DOC with A.R.M.S. quick release mount, Daniel Defense Omega rail, Troy rail covers, Vltor Imod stock, Magpul rear buis, Miad pistol grip, MOE forward grip, Harris bipod with GG&G rail adaptor, Ase Ultra jet-Z CQB-BL (not used when shooting 22lr for reason already described).

Image

Ruger 10/22 with Volquartsen bits inside (Volquartsen trigger on way), Boyds Blaster stock, Tactical Solutions pepperpot muzzle brake and Eotech 512.

Image

Grand Power K22 X-Trim Plus with integral mod, USM mount and Trijicon RMR micro red dot.

Marlin 795 with Tech sights before I installed the aluminum trigger guard in place of the plastic one. The pouch is for two extra magazines. This is a very accurate little .22!

Anschutz 1416 with double set triggers. I bought this at the rod and gun club at Harvey Barracks when I was stationed in Germany in the late 70s.

Still have the gun

Same son as in the M6 picture but a bit older - on a treaty exercise in Australia several years ago.

No pictures to share of my MAS 45, Ruger Mk1 and Ruger Mk2 HB target pistols
