Bloody good price for that sort of thing (providing it works!
) So i presume it does the calc's and then gives you a hold over in inches/CM's or does it give you a click adjustment for your scope?

$229 for a ballistic computer?? I'd have to say I'm tempted, but some of their claims make my internal bullshit detector ping a little.
Seriously, how could that work with any scope and rifle? What about using handloads in my .308 with a 30/30 reticle Leupold???? I'd want to see it working first.

If you look at the specs it claims range finding to 5000 yards!
If you are on facebook join the long range shooting in Europe forum (its a closed group so you wont get raped and pillaged!)
There is a member there who has just fitted one to a rifle and is shortly going to try it out.

You can get ballistic calculators for free on the boing.
Input your bullet weight, expected FPS, humidity, temperature - it then tells you how many MOA... if you tell your calculator how many clicks per MOA (or MIL) it's fairly simple calculation to sort out where your point of aim should be.
$229 for a calculator with a few algorithms in doesn't really seem so expensive... if it can hold up under extended firings and is waterproof, it seems like it could be useful.
even more so if they put a round counter in it too...

Blackstuff, the difference here, that I can see is that the BORS system is actually on the knob and counts the clicks for you until you get to the range you input...
Still, an expensive computer with algorithms... only one counts clicks, the other does not

Dude, I wouldn't even pay for the app on my boing, I don't think it's worth 79p when you've got the web to work it out in your pocket anyways...
But apparently some people think so...!
Crazy people... what's wrong with drop tables...?

Oddly, most of the ranges I shoot at, despite being listed as being in civilisation, have appallingly s*** 3g reception. I'm really quite glad that I spent the money on a ballistics app for my phone.
Mind you, I also have a quick reference chart, laminated, in my drag bag. Laminated sheets of paper don't run out of betteries.
