Nothing wrong with dodgyrog boolits get some.
Re: Carcano
obviously in the pics (which look great) Dromia was using cast boolits , can cast boolits be shot rapid fire without having any negative effects on the bullets as they are force fed into the chamber ? :?:

Re: Carcano
Why they not perform when used in rapid fire?
Cast has been shot rapid with great success ever since magazine and auto loaders were invented. I shot hundreds of thousands of cast boolits through my auto loaders when we had pistols with nary a problem. .22" RF auto loaders shoot very soft almost pure lead swaged boolits as a mtter of course and the US underlevers were made for cast boolits and I'm sure that they were used rapidly in stress situations and if they failed to have fed then they would not have been as successfull as they have been.
All you need to consider is good boolit retention plus perhaps a crimp, appropriate nose profile and a suitable oal for the magazine feed lips and ramp.
Obviously it you wanted to squeeze the absolute accuracy from a load then you would single feed as you would with condom rounds.

Re: Carcano
thanks dromia , i only had some concerns because it is my intention to get my swiss rifle shooting well with cast boolits (courtesy of dodgyrog) so that i can shoot my local clubs 200 yard rapid fire service rifle comp without putting the 91 year old barrel under to my pressure , when using GP11 i have won this comp in the past so it will be a welcome challenge to shoot it with cast boolits . :)

Just incase anyone is interested there is an article in Mays issue Shooting sports with Mike Yardley's part 2 of Re-creating the JFK shooting. Quite an interesting read.
