I'm looking at changing what I have on my FAC. Have now decided to go for more period firearms (ie springfield 30-06 & 7.72x54R for a Mosin Nagant) I never put them down when I applied for my FAC and have no idea how to get these put on and some of the others taken off.
any advice would be appreciated

Re: FAC Variations
Hi CK
Here in Essex if you have spare slots on your certificate say for .308 & .303 which you have not used, you can by filling a variation form in, with a note asking to get them changed to eg 7.62x54 7.5x55. I suggest you phone your authority and ask if they offer the same deal. Hope you work it out, and here there is no charge.

Re: FAC Variations
They will be one for one variations so no fee involved but you will need to fill in a form 101 which can be downloaded here:
http://www.hampshire.police.uk/NR/rdonl ... orm101.pdf
I also attach a letter outlining what I am doing and why.
EDIT - You beat me to is Bnz!

Re: FAC Variations
would I need to send off my original FAC as would that mean I have no authority to posses what I already have?
and would I just fill in the 101 if it meant that I held more than I originally asked for?
currently I have
1 x .22 (which I intend to keep)
1 x .38 (remove & replace with 30-06)
1 x 303 (keep)
2 x 308 (keep)
Add the 7.62x54R

Re: FAC Variations
Hi CK,
Yes you send in your cert as well, but if you want to add the 7.62x54 then you will have to pay approx £27 for that extra variation..

Re: FAC Variations
Yes they will need your FAC at some point to amend it, you will also need to attach a cheque for the new slots. I would say have a chat with your FEO before you do anything.
As your existing FAC would be current albeit not in your hands you would still be legally licensed to hold the firearms listed on your original FAC but again do check this.
EDIT - you beat me again! LOL
