Mike - I think you possess the caravan at the end of 20 years but you would then either have to negotiate a new lease (if possible and van is still looking good enough to stay on site), sell it onto new tenant, move it to another site or off site (back garden?) or dispose of it.

Would like to see a plan for what happens at the end of 20 years . . .

Reference possession of the caravan at end of lease, why would there be clauses in the Schedules about right of access or repair? Or, not to carry out any alteration of the Property? Or, to provide set of keys for the NRA.

Here is the killer - Fourth Schedule Item 23 - At the expiration........ to surrender & yield up the Property with the fixtures.

Byeeeee!

To costs, add on annual maintenance fee (how much?) & (mandatory) insurance.

Property is defined as the land its on - read the docs yesterday but really don't want to read them again tongueout

Fairly sure its in there somewhere that the van belongs to the tenant

Might try reading it again later but having a chill day at last :shakeshout:

Well, back from the Imperial Meeting, some interesting points of view from a variety of caravan occupants, including those turfed off "Spencer Site."

The views made to me were over-whelmingly against the current plan; the general consensus was that provision of electricity to sites would have been a winner.

Equally, there were scathing comments about no prior membership survey, poor communication (or rather, lack of), unseemly timescale/haphazard "planning" for moving off-site (some long term - 30 yr - occupants of Site 4 held a commemorative dinner in the open space where their 'van had been!), outrageous pricing & perceived "sneakiness" of the subsequent message "you must buy approved NRA 'van" well after the event. At least one member had bought a newer (but second hand 'van) based on verbal communication from the NRA. As previously stated, no-one seems to know what was the "concept" plan that initiated the project.....

The performance of Andrew Mercer at the "Umbrella Tent" meeting was decribed as very lack-lustre & failing to impress in any way.

Mercer looked like a cornered weasel.

I hear he also had a large sense of humour failure at a comedy sign ("honk if you're feeling happy" or something similar) put up by students on one of the campsites.

If this was the sign on the green outside Canada house I clocked it when I was leaving camp Sunday afternoon. The sign read "honk if you're horny"
