I'm just telling you this to try and improve your credability, If you carry your rifle by the rear sight, you are effectively carrying the rifle like its a handbag. Much better to carry with two hands on the rifle.

Not long 'till you'll be telling us about taking rifles into the shower and other crap hat short cuts! TMH under the tap anyone?!

Indeed, because the Armourers are always letting incorrectly breeched rifles out of the workshops...
I'm assuming they were all correctly headspaced but the barrels weren't quite breeched up to 12 o'clock. More than one of our regular allocation had the rearsight hard over to one side.

That looks better than I remember.

In the context of civilian firearms it's actually kind of cool and makes sense.

Does the charging handle still rotate as it moves back?

I seem to remember it being like that and a bit loose.

A front Picatinny rail would be nice.

I've just realised it's the scope (SUSAT?)

We had a horrible placcy handle!

Jesus did we get and give bollockings for that.....and cradling it....how can you react and shoot with it like that??

So not all hats were hattish.....although my lot were more hattish than most

Funily enough I did dunk an SMG in a tank of petrol in the gulf, it was the only way to get the bloody sand out of the thing (not mine I might add, I used an L1).

Crap hats...heh heh, that's a welcome blast from the past (My roomie was RTUd when he smashed himself up on his last night jump, poor bugger).
