Ta muchly!

Wonder how many armed police there will be in Glasgow?

The 2002 Games shooting events at Bisley had one cop on a bike!

It's a straightforward enough piece of journalism - can't see any bias from here, area of town goes into armed lockdown because police/Scottish politicians want to create a climate of fear and local reporter picks up on it.

Being a local news reporter he probably won't think of asking the shooters themselves what they think about being locked inside a ring of steel with people constantly muzzle-sweeping them using loaded/made ready SMGs. Although I very much doubt the Scottish authorities would permit him to ask those sort of questions and embarrass them.

That said, I sort-of know a girl who works on the Courier. I'll drop her a line and suggest that as a line of enquiry.

Can POLICE SCOTLAND & the oh-so-wiser-than-us SNP in Holyrood PLEASE ensure that ALL the additional costs for policing such events (which have shooters in attendance) are added to the total used when calculating the cost of administering FACs & SGCs in Scotland.

Pathetic, and why have the top of a spare mag at the ejection port, not that he NEEDS a spare mag clipped on like some wannabe movie hero!

As for the public, when you get sh1thick idiots commenting like this it's no wonder we have problems. FEAR, it makes money!

Perhaps I'm missing something, but doesn't it make perfect sense to have armed police protecting athletes who will be carrying guns?
What a knobhead..almost as stupid as the police who ordered all these gun toting prats into the area.
Political Correctness is the language of lies, written by the corrupt , spoken by the inept!

Are they protecting the athletes or the firearms? Someone I know is at Barry Buddon in a security capacity and he says that there is a purpose built armoury there!
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
