The other thing is that there is a definite trend to anti = socialist, certainly the rabid ones anyway.

You can pretty much guess the outcome!
What was the outcome? Surely some of them enjoyed it?

I spoke to Steve Senn about a similar thing. Channel 4? Sent a journalist called Sean Kuguha? to do an interview about a young people's pistol club that he was running.
When they were speaking off camera, the journalist was alleged to have said that he would be willing to let his kids shoot at a club.
However when the cameras were rolling, he said the opposite, that he wouldn't be happy with his children shooting at a club.
I think this should be a lesson to shooters even almost twenty years on, bad news sells,so unless you're certain, you have to treat journalists as if they are 'antis'.

Journalists and the media are totally devoid of any integrity and should never be trusted on anything.

Treat them with caution, certainly, but don't treat them as if they're outright antis from the start unless you've got proof. We as a sport need to get the news media onside, and we won't do that by shutting them out.

I have to agree Gaz. The problem is that bad news (however inaccurate) sells mate, and once its out there to the average "sack wearing lentil eating yurt dwelling" anti its fact if it suits the cause.

What gets me is their inability to get into any form of meaningful dialogue. They just spout their side and keep talking over the top of you.

Add any form of evidence that flies in the face of their concrete assertions and suddenly you become an aggressive paedo Neanderthal murderer...or they just scream rape!! (Either gender, they don't seem to allow roles to be assigned in their perfect world where we are all equal as long as we agree with them and don't shoot guns!!).

I got accused of being aggressive yesterday. I then wrote to the young lady's boss and explained that if you take money off of the public and tell them one thing, then try and fine them and don't keep an audit chain you are pretty well buggered. If you then accuse the person of swapping the tickets between cars, and that person happens to be with the local stazi and produces evidence for a living, they may well get a bit indignant.

The really annoying bit is that the season ticket fell off and was on the floor, face up for all to see. They could not even get the car colour right, and did not seem to realise that it was valid and paid for, they just had to check the ruddy records......3 tickets paid up for 3 cars......aggressive my arse **** **** ****

I just get fed up with people in some sort of authority who like doling out the crap but when it comes home to roost they bleat. We call it resilience tesnews

some very good arguments being put forward below the poll at the moment, without the usual recourse to dogma and insults

I've given up trying to debate with the anti's I know , their minds seem closed to reasonable argument. As for journalists, they always have an agenda. Impressive result to the poll though.

Does anyone know the result of this poll? I can't find it on BBC website, perhaps the result wasn't to their liking!
