Being a commie cheapskate I did my AKM with a rattlecan of satin black acrylic car paint, its been tough as old boots despite being drenched in rain at Sennybridge and has resisted oil etc from cleaning,being knocked about on firing points and benches etc and is actually as good now as the day it went on.Not as posh as Cerakote but it does the trick.
