The other day I was resizing some .303 PPU once-fired brass using Lee Collet dies. Once resized the necks would take a 174gn SMK bullet only to the boat-tail, no more. However when I then trimmed them using the Lee Zip Trim I could push the bullets right in by hand, i.e. the necks had lost all tension/tightness so had to be resized again. Yet when i trimmed by hand i.e. using the Lee hand held case holder and trimmer, neck tension was ok.
Any advice as to what I may have been doing wrong much appreciated.
