Fairly simple idea, not sure why it's so big TBH. I like the Bullpup version but simply for the design

A mate of mine had an electronic trigger on a Walther small-bore rifle about 10 years ago, the bloody thing was a nightmare.
You had to hold the first stage for a couple of seconds and wait for the green LED to illuminate before you could shoot, he tried it for about a season and gave up and had it replaced with a standard unit.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Daystate air rifles have an electronic trigger and it works quite nicely.

Thats very true......many years ago after watching MadMax the "Good Idea" fairy suggested rigging up a can of dads Easystart to a Honda CG125 as a substitute for a nitrous oxide bottle!!!.The can was rigged to the handlebars with a length of rubber pipe going into the airbox adjacent to the mouth of the carb.It was then taken down the local lane, fired up and accelerated up to about 40mph before activating the "nitrous"..........it picked up the front wheel and went like a thing posessed for about 2 seconds at which point it all went south very fast, the engine practically turned itself inside-out and became a frag grenade!!!.If I hadn't had my legs behind me in a drag race stylee in anticipation of the awesome acceleration it could have been nasty!!!.dromia wrote:Sometimes it is best just to ignore the "good idea" fairy.
