My wife has been 'thinking' about building an extension, so we've got an addition bedroom into which #2 daughter can be installed. I've not been that enthusiastic, having lived through a very long building project before. However I've just realised that if we do this, it will result in quite a nice space in the attic above, accessible from the existing attic and potentially capable of being built to become a hardened gunroom/reloading area.

Suddenly my interest in the project has increased!

That sounds cool (would love a gun room tongueout )...and you can't beat a win-win solution...

ovenpaa wrote:It looks like a handy area Dougan. Getting everything bolted down firmly makes a big difference to your reloading and it is surprising just how much space can be needed when you spread yourself out a bit.
As you say we can now spread ourselves out when we're loading together...one can be powdering while the other uses the presses.

The trimmer worked well in it's set position yesterday - I've made it removable on a piece of worktop so that it's not in the way when not being used, but also because I rescued an old pub table being thrown away (very heavy and sturdy) which I'm going to try clamping it to this afternoon so I can do some case prep in the sunshine

Very nice cave.
I'm considering selling my lathe to free up some space for a reloading station.

I don't read my own signature!
Cheers guys - To be fair though, I wouldn't be able to afford such luxury if I wasn't sharing...
