I have 5 boxes of .270 Kynoch rounds, which have been at the back of my cabinet for as long as I can remember. Somebody at the club would like to buy them from me to send to his friend who is a collector. 4 of the boxes are unopened and perfect, one box has an end and 3 rounds missing (cardboard box of 10). There is some suggestion that these are a little rare and could be worth something. I want to be completely fair and not overcharge him for the rounds. Any ideas how much these would be worth, or where I could ask? Thanks in advance.
TM.

Hi chap.
There are many forums out there that deal with ammo collecting.
I collect, but I don't want to keep live so I don't bother with boxed stuff, and I don't pay for stuff unless it is new components from a hand loader. Not an anorak, and I am licensed, just cant be bothered with a collection I have to lock up or with having some nasty unstable stuff kicking about
There is tons of the stuff out there.
That said, there are some folk who might cream their jeans over the cartridges you have so have a look on some of the forums and sites. Basically it is worth exactly something between sweet FA and whatever some fool might be daft enough to pay...if you see what I mean
Ask him to make you an offer, and then try and see what's suggested elsewhere.

Re: Ammunition sales advice please
I have a box of Kynoch 270 here and as maggot says, where it for sale it would be whatever someone would be prepared to pay, around GBP10-15/box maybe however I have no feeling fro prices as I never pay for samples, my collection is built on a swaps basis.
There might be something listed on www.quickfireauctions.co.uk which is a UK auction site for collectors.
