Blackstuff wrote:McMurdo was a personal friend of Hamilton, they both dove (plural for dive??) together and took trips on Hamiltons boat. Its documented in the minutes/transcript when McMurdo was questioned as part of the inquiry.

Sandra Uttley who was a local paramedic at the time and went on to write Dunblane:Unburied even claims that McMurdo perjured himself when he was asked how he knew Hamilton as he said it was because Hamilton was always harrassing him at the police HQ and only admitted the personal relationship when pressed. To be fair though Sandra Uttley now believes that the whole incident was cooked up by the security services just to take handguns off the public ..... tesnews

Yeah if you go ahead and read that again i didn't say that people who dive are Hamiltons in waiting, i said that is how McMurdo and Hamilton became friends, not through an 'official' capacity as McMurdo first testified troutslapping

Then again Derrick Bird was also a keen diver.... :55:

I bet there are a fair few shooters who are also divers, neither group seems to mind getting ripped off for our sport :-)
I'm a diver to by the way.

I don't read my own signature!

Guys, I really don't give a damn what any of you think, because I know what I read in that book & it was in Bexleyheath Library. It was an interesting read. That book mentioned Noye as a gun owner & a mason. that bloke had names of villians on his phone who I've heard of. An Adams brother was one of them. I saw his contact list & I know what it said. Also Noye was a known face in my area & I've seen him
Do you actually think it would be sensible to ask detailed questions on known villians, as a stranger ?

I will try to find out what the book was called. Just cos you haven't read something or experienced something doesn't mean it isn't true. In those days the Pre-PACE era of policing, the police were very corrupt, so pound to a penny, they rubbed shoulders with villians & took bribes , for various things, including gun licenses.

From Wikipedia

Books

Two books – Dunblane: Our Year of Tears by Peter Samson and Alan Crow (Mainstream, 1996) and Dunblane: Never Forget by Mick North (Mainstream, 2000) – both give accounts of the massacre from the perspective of those most directly affected. Another book, Dunblane Unburied by Sandra Uttley (Book Publishing World 2006), whose publication was funded by a shooters' organisation, the Sportsman's Association,[20] examines Hamilton's relationship with members of Central Scotland Police and presents a disturbing alternative and largely conspiratorial account to the events leading up to the massacre. Uttley alleges a major high-level cover-up and calls for a new Public Inquiry to establish the truth. Uttley questions how Thomas Hamilton managed to tyrannize and intimidate so many boys at his clubs and summer camps for years without being stopped even though many parents complained to the police and councils and why Central Scotland Police were allowed to carry out the investigation when they were implicated. On 1 March 2006 Creation Books released Predicate: The Dunblane Massacre — Ten Years After by Peter Sotos.[21]

I've just looked on amazon uk & there are two possible books that I might of read, containing the information on Noye, I used, both by the same author Wensley Clarkson.they are public enemy number 1 & or killers on the road. The book by Sandra Utterly: Dunblane Unburied, I've not read .

Well that kind of sums it up from you really, I can see you are going to have a good time making waves on here, with loads of opinions with nothing to back them up with.

I hold a diving licence & I'm a freemason, I guarantee you, I don't get any favours from the FLO at renewal time. (as you're inexperienced - a renewal is when the term of you FAC/SGC is up).

Still, I recognise a throbber when I see one, so welcome to my ignore list.

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Enfield Enthusiast,

Just because you read something in a book or newspaper article does not mean it is true. In this day and age there is so much info circulating, it is news 24/7/365 nonstop and some of it is bound to be wrong, misquoted, deliberate lies for whatever purpose the source has.

Look at the source of the info, as an example if you look at the Labour election manifest don't you think the Labour election press machine will do their best to make Labour look good, we all know they are not...

Do some research and then make your mind up.
