I have always been involved in some form of Electrical or Electronic Engineering!

Initially; Sonar, torpedoes, submarine systems, distress systems and satellite communications. Moved to the design of complex telephony switches. Then back to managing major programmes in mobile satellite communications (predominantly aircraft based), GSM interfaces and IFE systems.

Why did kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

God loves stupid people, that is why he made so many of them.

Control Systems Engineer (using computers to control industrial processes such as power stations, water treatment plants, places that glow in the dark etc)

I like most Milsurps but particularly anything British of any period or any nationality that's WW2 related.
The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.

That Padre would be Captain The Reverend David Cooper and the rumour is nonsense though as you say he was a Bisley shotand captained the GB team I believe. He did however advise Halle Berry on how to act like a sniper for some movie. He's a hell of a nice guy as well.

Worked in Research Bio stuff initially at lab stage then scaled up to full scale production plant.(Signed none disclosure document not allowed to tell you any more than that) Then moved into Power stations and Water treatment plant Worked as a Shift Manager on the largest Industrial Water Treatment plant in Europe. Worked on most of the places that glow in the dark. Done petrochemicals and all that other stuff. Finally got fed up with the whole thing and retired.
That lasted about 18 month before I was enticed back I now work in research for one of the biggest Global Chemical Companies. We design and build Chemical Plants all over the World including China. America. Singapore. Saudi Arabia they also have plants in the UK but probably for not much longer. That's about all I can say otherwise I risk breaking the confidentiality agreement I have signed. Other than that I lead a pretty boring life really.
Interesting that some of the Guys/Galls have a similar back ground we struggle to find experienced Senior Chemical engineers. Process Engineers and Chemists educated to PHD level with the right back ground experience.
