Thankfully we do not use leather holsters any more, but with no safety something like a coat draw cord can get through the trigger guard.

Thanks for that DM, very interesting, especially that crease on what is a fairly stiff bit of leather.

I am wondering how a seat belt could do that. Do you think that maybe that crease was already there, it looks like that holster has seen a few moons. Looks as though maybe it has been "pinched" to provide some retention against the frame. It is a non specific holster, sold for use with various makes of semi auto pistols. . Amazing he did not shoot himself when holstering the gun in the first place.

Leather holsters like that are not ideal for sitting down / carry , maybe a Roto-type holster if you are in and out of a vehicle like you would be DM. I have never tried one so just guessing. Certainly not a problem with good old Kydex. Definitely one lucky chap, imagine if that had hit the femural artery.....

Watch out DM if you go for a MRI Scan......Here's a case of a Policeman who went for a scan and his gun was drawn into the machine and fired.

Although it was a series 80 45Auto, condition one. Would imagine it could also happen with a Glock.

What's known as a "fruit of the loom" holster. Thin and functionary to a point. Obviously bought a good gun, then had some work done to it, increased the beavertail and the checkering changed to stippling on the back strap, then shoves it in a cheap holster with an ordinary belt.........

SIm, well spotted, the holster did not suit the gun, the trigger and guard are exposed. Surely though if this WAS the seat belt buckle that caused that indentation on the holster he might have noticed the discomfort when he tried to fasten it..

Actually Jenks there is - IMO - summat fishy about this. The Glock is one of the safest pistols around with that Glock Safety system you have to have your finger dead right on that trigger safety for it to work, I reckon DM etc would agree. , a wee tad off and it doers not fire. Looking again at this, the damge to the holster seems the result of a long and determined application of fcorce to the relevant area. So much so that I doubt very much thius was a one off accident. I would reckon he is at it!

looks more like a set up with a law suit being aimed (no pun) at Glock and Galco.

OK the holster may not be adequate for the job but that "damage" does not look all that recent - and very suspiocious about how it actually manged to cross so far in and right on the Glock trigger safety.

Just my tuppence worth jenks, but I reckon this should be looked at with a degree of "aye, right"!
