42 to 44 grains of Vitavouri N140 I use 43.2grains of N140 with 155grain A max bullets. In my .308 Steyr.

Halodin, ignore him mate, he said the same thing about my reloading bench as well . Just because he's a tramp of the reloading world doesn't mean we all have to be like him A clean bench is an efficient bench mate.

Halodin, I'm going out for a bit but when I get back I'll scan the page for that bullet from the latest Hornady manual and pm it to you if you like. Personally I use Noslers 150 grn ballistic tip in my .308, very accurate and kills them stone dead.

That's a load I worked up I have used it for a long time now. The Lyman 49th Edition quotes 39.5grains to 44grains of N140 for a 155grain jacketed bullet.

Good job that you don't shoot over any distance then as you would be seriously disappointed with your results at long range. Then I remembered up north you don't have access to long range. :55:

That's correct and its a standard rifle that is very accurate over the distances I shoot at with that load. But thanks for the interest I am sure your comments will be of a lot of help to him during his re loading learning curve.
That reminds me HALODIN the type of rifle you are re loading for and the distances you shoot over will have a bearing on your reloading regime.
If you are shooting F class or Bench rest for instance with a longer heavy barrel you will have to take that into consideration if you are intending to shoot long distances for instance 1000 yards you might need a different bullet powder combo. But what do I know I am just a dumb Northener.

It does not matter what distance you shoot over re loading gives you the ability to hand craft the best ammo that will be tailor made for your gun giving you the best performance/accuracy available no matter what distance you shoot it over and the satisfaction that you developed and built the load your self go to it my friend. Go stroke that press handle feel the rush when that first cartridge rolls out of your press. Feel the grin spreading from cheek to cheek when five of your rounds clover leaf in the middle of your bull.

I thought you did not read my posts any more.

Its not hard to do at 100yards either and I got into trouble for snapping the chain holding the gong at 200yards with the TIKKA 6.5x55 last time I had the opportunity to shoot at that distance. All with hand loaded ammunition I'm smiling.
Any way none of this is helping HALODIN with his reloading.
