Maybe you should just get an 8 gun safe and put some shelves in yourself, if it comes down to money though two or three 48litre ones stacked and bolted together for about £60 each + post off of ebay may do it.

Watch out for those digital safes you can get on-line and at the DIY stores . . . some of them aren't very secure.

Very good, extra shelf options? I bet you are looking at separating the calibres a shelf for each would be ideal, or am I just leading you astray?

I've got a Vanvault Outback, just about manages to hold most of my ammo.

Re: can anyone recommend a ammo safe
I use a break down shotgun safe + the safe in the section 1 cabinet - holds enough for most of what you need.

They actually make smaller versions.
Re: can anyone recommend a ammo safe
I recently bought a fairly large (12 gun) cabinet on eBay for peanuts (relative to new price), so my Westlander 7 gun became the ammo safe. Fitted out with shelves it has plenty of capacity. You should be able to pick-up a gun-safe on eBay for much less than cabinets sold specifically as ammo safes, and you'll probably get better security and double the space for half the money. You'll just need to collect from the buyer and fit it out with shelves.Jackmanuk wrote:my ammo safe is a tad small for my needs so i need a nice Big ammo safe so can anyone recommend a big ammo safe
