Anyone done the NRA RCO course at Bisley in last six months?

Hi all

Really stupid question from me (considering I used to be an RCO assessor) but with the various staff changes and the member of staff I needed to talk to being off today, I have a question.

Just reading through the RCO Instruction Manual and can't remember whether you can refer to it during the test or not - does anyone know for definite?

If not I'm going to have a very boring day tomorrow remembering lots of numbers and stuff sign01

I believe you ARE allowed to use the manual - it's pretty long so you do need to know the manual before the test or it is of no use to you!

That is what I thought but just not sure that someone who thinks they know better has changed it.

I know all the basic stuff but just not sure whether I need to memorise a load of numbers that I'll never need again!

When I did the HME bolt on you were not allowed to use the handbook. Also when I did my re-cert a couple of years ago it was definitely a closed book test.

I did a HME add on recently and it was open book I think, but it wasn't exactly required…Two hours plus of classroom work, to cover basically two pages of information was enough!

I guess the fact that I couldn't spot the oddball on the course meant it was probably me
