My Christmas present arrived today

A large well packed box arrived today with a copy of 'The World's Machine Pistols and Submachine guns. This is the 1980 Volume II edition written by Nelson and Musgrave. Packed with descriptions and photographs of over 200 weapons it is a stunning reference. OK, it does not list anything produced post 1980 but who needs to know about them anyway, this is the history of the developments and covers every single interesting item I can think of.

Well worth a look if you can find a copy.

Took me well over a decade to get the four volumes in the set though...

Some of them go for ridiculous sums so I was delighted to find this at a sensible price and even better when my son offered to pay for it.

Volume IV was the pita to find...the set make a very good reference work; esp. like the shotgun one
