I picked up an ultrasonic cleaner yesterday from my local Aldi store, cost £22-98.
It works well with just warm water and a drop of washing up liquid.
It has a s/s bath and is big enough to accommodate up to 50, .45 Colt cases at a time.
I gave the .45 Colt cases, a total of 16 minutes treatment and the water came out black from the removed powder residue.
The primer pockets were clean and the brass certainly looked cleaner both inside and out.

Re: A good buy from Aldi
Last time they did the they were about £16 or so.
Bought one for myself then had everyone else in the club make me go back as all their local shops had sold out.
Ended up buying 7 from my local Aldi

I got one few years ago myself, they work all right, bit small for my needs and I just hate wet cleaning. Wife mainly uses it for geegawas and I'll use it for cleaning small parts sometimes when I remember I've got it.

I'm the same, my wife uses the one I have more than me. TBH whether the brass is wet cleaned or tumbled I've never noticed any difference when it comes to putting rounds on the target.dromia wrote:I got one few years ago myself, they work all right, bit small for my needs and I just hate wet cleaning. Just don't put a Benelli shotgun bolt assembly in there, unless you like the colour 'dish water grey'
