FAC Application ... opps...

#1 Post by bigfathairybiker »

Well, I finally got the application out about two weeks ago and the Firearms Officer is coming round next Thursday.

But... I think I've made a mistake on the form. FO didnt mention it on the phone.

My last slot said "Black power rifle"...

I'm fairly sure I should have put "Muzzle loading rifle"....

At least I haven't had to wait long for the first contact.

I wouldn't worry about it, when the feo comes round they go through the application and can make changes, mine asked if I thought my ammo limits were enough then let me up my solid slug :)

I corrected mine during the interview as well as I had forgotten to add moderators

I should have paid more attention. I thought I was applying to adopt an orphan. Instead, I got these lousy guns...

One thing I would say is apply for a shotgun certificate at the same time, only costs you £10 more.
S&W M&P 15-22
Stoeger Sec 1
Adler a110 Sec 1
Winchester 94 .357,
Marlin 45-70
Savage 10 FP-SR .223
AI AE .308
.357 Westlake Alpha

Have slots open for.....
.22 LB pistol
.22LR rifle

Be thank flu for small mercies whatever you ask for tends to be different to what you get , I asked for .36 muzzle loading pistol and got a .32 muzzle loading rifle and when I did a one for one to change from a 390wmag to another rifle they left the 300 win mag ammo on ! On club ticket I asked
For .44 a 357 and a 22. Got a 38 , a 357 a 44 and three 22 ! Go figure !

Well, tonight... just had my first visit from the FEO.

I felt extremely rushed... well, he was an hour and a half late so probably wanted to get home.

He has left a letter which I will have to give to the doctor to get a report sent to him.
Probably going to cost me around £100 knowing my doctors surgery.

He says once he has this report he will contact me for a further visit.

Not having a cabinet yet caused a raised eyebrow, but I then explained that the firearms department had mentioned that it was not compulsory to purchase a cabinet before applying and to discuss this with the FEO.

Anyway, we discussed my taking of anti depressants and he took a quick look at where I thought my cabinet might go and he quickly exited.

Hopefully there will be a next visit a that will go a lot better.
