Well over the years I've just had to list the numbers of each type I poosess and buy. e.g. 600 expanding 200 AP 200 incendiary and when purchasing mixed lots the RFD has entered "100 expanding collectors ammuntion" rather than each individual round. Now I'm in Hampshire and they are pretty good about it, other collectors I've met are allowed only 1 example of each calibre and some are only allowed 1 inert example.
Listing them individually must be a pain as I'm sure very few officers would be able to tell a .38" short rimfire from a .38" Long. One officer even candidly said that "you could show me anything and I wouldn't know" One chap used to come round with a photocopy of cartridges of the world (there are copyright laws you know...)
One amusing encounter was with a PC who on being shown a 20mm said "there's not much air in there for it to burn" I didn't think it wise to ask him how do rockets work in space...
Anyone here shoot 10,3x60R?
