Brit v Swiss v German

#1 Post by mag41uk »

We dallied with the idea of a Schmidt Rubin event at Bisley last year and nowt happened.
Lets open this up and have a shoot out between the aforementioned.
Lets keep it simple. Rifles must be as issued, sights, slings, cartridge.
Reloads OK as long as they duplicate, as near as possible, issue rounds.
We can cobble together a course of fire.
Probably Fig 11`s at 200,prone and kneeling? Bayonet fixed?
Then "precision" at 500 or 600?
Couple of targets at each distance with markers and split the cost?
There must surely be enough of us who can get to Bisley one Saturday or Sunday later in the year??
What say you?

Yup, sounds good to me. Issue Optics or Iron sights only?

This could be fun,

I own a K98, No.4, also a Springfield 30-06 or I could take the scope off my Mosin if either of those would be allowed :goodjob:

Lets call it the Battle Rifle Comp.
I have a No4 and K11.
And of course we should include the USA.(even though they only came in half way through;) )
And I think keep it to open sights.
However if there are enough "sniper" variants they could go in their own class.
Oh what the heck, let the Russians in too!
