I don't tend to look at Midway when hunting bits for the reason stated. What were you looking for that's shocked you?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I can't believe this multi-national company can justify charging more in Pounds than in Dollars, we don't pay that much tax and import duty!

Midway USA is exactly the same. The bigger they have become the more they charge it would seem. I haven't used Midway in a long time and I won't either as there are other outfits that do the same stuff and charge a lot less.

its not a British ethos, its business.......buy more pay less....you round up 20 million target shooters and you will pay US prices!

It's a lot harder to round up more shooters when they're priced out of the hobby before they can start. It might be a business but it's a very small minded way to go, maximising the profit on a few sales, easy to lose your entire sales base quickly and sink.

and thats always the quandary in business, the brutal truth is, you have to make profit to stay in business, we are a small market, no amount of price cutting is likely to change that, all it will do is drive business's under. this is not to say I approve of massive profits, but get real here, these companies are not cash-cows by any means, most people with any sense clump items together to reduce shipping charges, and look around for the best deals.Sometimes maximising profits is the difference between staying in business and folding.
