Can a firearm be on more than one certificate ?

#1 Post by zzr1100 »

For example could two friends have a firearm on both of their certificates so as to be able to use said firearm independently of each other ?

Better may be to get a condition that allows each to use the firearms on the other FAC.
Then there are no complications when a gun is bought or sold.

Surrey have done this - not sure about other forces.

In particular my question centres on the grey area of the lbr licensing .. Although I have .357 lbr on my cert I can't afford to buy one at the moment, however if I speak nicely to one of my fellow club members they may allow their lbr on my certificate .. Problem solved I can compete !!

This is interesting as I have a sec 1 shotgun which is similar in that it has to be on your cert to use it, it is also on my 2 boys certs so they can use it and compete in PSG comps, I have not come across the situation of non family members sharing before so will be interested to see how this pans out.

Evening peeps,

My mate and I had a 44 Pietta on both of our tickets. The only confusion was when he had his renewal visit and the FEO got a bit emotional **** when he spied said smoke generator !
Where did you get that he asked, my mate replied " from you" :shakeshout: The pistol had been handed in by a shooter who was giving up and she sold it to us. My mate picked it up from central plod shop and obviously nobody recorded the fact !

Good job we had a bit of paper from plod person !
