Re: Which rifle do you feel most comfortable with?
If theres plenty time to faff about my .308 Steyr SSG 04 as it has the best optics. If i just want to get rounds down range my SGC 9mm.
The gun i feel most comfortable with though is my Benelli M2, probably just because i use it the most and in the most varying of circumstances.

I would like it to be my SGC 9mm but so far it hasn't been what I expected.

Re: Which rifle do you feel most comfortable with?
Cheers 25.
I bought the AE cos the price was right and there were no AW's about - I like 10 round + mags.
25pdr can testify to the accuracy of it, he was doing butts duty many a time I was shooting the centre out the target with boring regularity.
I wanted a Remmy 700 but did not like the big palm grip or the list of "things you should change" that came with it so that's why I got the Steyr. I shot that at 900 at Blair Atholl, managed a few V bulls.... and that was with a x 12 scope and some very clever "holding" using the mildots.! It was a tack driver though.
If I could get one I would love the Sig550..or an MP5 It's a close call on which one.

My 7.62mm Lee Enfield No4 "Palma Match" Envoy. Given to me by the 1971 Queens Prize winner, who had used it as a member of the winning English team at Bisley in 1970.

I think it has to be my CZ 527 Varmint chambered in 0.223 Rem featuring a 1:9 heavy barrel fitted with a HS Precision kevlar stock and a 16x42 IOR riflescope. It's so comfortable to shoot and the palm swell seems to fit my hand perfectly.
It's a lovely rifle to shoot at 300 yards and pretty good at 600 yards when the conditions are favourable.
My second favourite rifle would be my 0.308 CZ 550 fitted with a similar HS Precision stock!

Re: Which rifle do you feel most comfortable with?
My old AE was definitely a favourite, but actually at the moment its my Parker Hale 'Scout'. Having just shot some rounds through it recently it suddenly brings back a smile to my face!
Easy to shoot, good accuracy up to about 4-500yds, light, simple and with the S&B scope a lovely gun. .308 rounds are easy to come by and re-load. It was my first 'proper' rifle and love scaring people with it when I fit the muzzle break on its 19" barrel instead of the ASE Utra S5 moderator!!!
Cheap and Cheerful, but gets the job done properly. Feels perfect for me.

You are forced to choose one to take to your desert island (which sports a 1,000 yard range)....which one would you take?dromia wrote:Well I have, each one is my favourite for a specific application.
